Sci Fi Technical is a Subforum in Vs debates where people discuss flaws in weapons design, mathematical calculations for weapons, and stuff like that. Vs debates is for debating things like whether the Empire from Star Wars would beat the Federation from Star Trek (a debate which has been hashed over so many times it's no longer debated). Spacebattles General, otherwise known as 'Space Battles' is for General Sci Fi Discussion.

This rarely seems to actually be done in the Index, and is usually done in the story's thread on CrW, but you still see it there. One of the story ideas threads, where people come up with ideas for new stories to write.

The Index is pretty clearly subtitled as 'For all the Recommendation, Review and Request threads and General Story Discussion.' It would be a good idea to take some time to look up what kind of threads go where. Sci Fi Technical, under Vs Debates, or just plain Spacebattles General is where you want to be. I sometimes wonder if the game designers were so focused on showing a connection with the webmovie, 'Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn' that they forgot to consider why UNSC Marine armor needed to have heavier armor plating during the Halo: Reach and Halo 1-3 timelines. I would have expected the Marine armor during the Halo 4 timeline to at least resemble the Halo 3 design. This seems like a surprising regression considering humanity's experiences with Covenant weaponry for the past 27+ years. Aesthetically very similar to the armor worn by CAMS Cadets in 'Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn' (at the beginning of the Human-Covenant War). The other variants wear different color ballistic vests but some wear additional lighter chest and upper back plate armor over their vests. There are four different variants but the bases of the armor worn by Marines is a ballistic kevlar body armor with *NO* additional heavy armor attached such as the ones worn during the Human-Covenant war. I've been watching various YouTube gameplays and video cutscenes on Halo 4 and Halo Spartan Ops and one of the things I've noticed is the UNSC Marine Corps BDUs during Halo 4 appear to have taken several steps *backwards*.
